Sustaining

“Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye have done it unto one of the least of these my brethren, ye have done it unto me.”

Matthew 25:35-40

Improving

“The Lord’s way to help those in temporal need requires people who out of love have consecrated themselves and what they have to God and to His work.”

Henry B Eyring

Becoming

“I can do things you cannot, you can do things I cannot; together we can do great things.”

Mother Teresa

Our Purpose

Our purpose is to sustain, improve and become better through our Savior, Jesus Christ.

Elder Jeffrey R. Holland, a member of the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints said, “Are we not all beggars? In an 1831 revelation to the Prophet Joseph Smith, the Lord said the poor would one day see the kingdom of God coming to deliver them ‘in power and great glory.’  May we help fulfill that prophecy by coming in the power and glory of our membership in the true Church of Jesus Christ to do what we can to deliver any we can from the poverty that holds them captive and destroys so many of their dreams…”

When we treat people merely as they are, they will remain as they are. When we treat them as if they were what they should be, they will become what they should be.

Through service projects involving scores of youth, adults and leaders from The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, in addition to other contributors (see our contributors here), we will journey to Africa December 25, 2014 to January 8, 2015, to provide water, relief, and hope for Christmas!
